Pride

It's late at night and I need to get to bed so I'm going to keep it short. In reading tonight about Hezekiah (2 Chronicles 32), I was some what slapped in the face when I was reminded about how human pride brings on the wrath of God. Hezekiah prays for a sign from the Lord, but does nothing really to thank the Lord in return out of his pride which causes God to bring His wrath down upon Hezekiah until he repents. As someone who is extremely prideful, but good at hiding it in ways that are culturally acceptable, this is a harsh reminder that my pride is not acceptable to God. He does so much for me and I do so little in return for my savior because to be completely blunt, I'm busy worshiping myself. Pride can take countless forms, but pray that God would reveal the areas in your life where you are being prideful and let His amazing grace come upon you as He sanctifies you and makes you more like His perfect son, Jesus.
