I was reminded this morning of how incredibly blessed I am. I was reading 2 Chronicles 17-20 about Jehoshaphat and Ahab seeking council from the prophets about going to war against Ramoth-gilead. All but one of the prophets tells them to go. Ahab doesn't like the other prophet, Micaiah, because he doesn't ever tell him what he wants to hear. There's a lot more to the story then that, but I thought about how Ahab only wanted to take "advice" from people that would tell him what he wanted to hear. I'm really thankful that I have many people in my life who love me enough to tell me what I need to hear, even if it doesn't match up with what I want to hear. My wife being at the top of that list and there are so many others. Thank you Lord for blessing me with genuine, godly relationships where the goal is to pursue after you, not just tell each other what we want to hear.
